Frequently asked questions
Who are these resources for?
The activities are for teachers of English as a foreign or additional language. Adapt the examples to learner interests, language knowledge and accessibility needs. Suggested levels and timings are starting points.
Do I need an account or a paid download?
No account is needed to read this site. The new worksheets are available as text on the page; use your browser’s print command for a classroom copy. Original archive articles may contain third-party material, so do not assume their images or quotations carry the same reuse permissions.
Are the 2011 articles up to date?
They are historical articles, not current news. Check current details with the organisation concerned before relying on claims about qualifications, services or employment. The date and archive label help distinguish them from the new practical activities.
Where are the old forums and comments?
The available copy contains no functioning forum or comment backend. The discussion archive page explains the former community. Posting, registration and replies are unavailable.
Why is an old link missing?
Some pages in the source were demo placeholders rather than saved content. Articles that could be recovered from the homepage have been restored. A missing page without a relevant replacement returns a page-not-found response.
How do I choose an activity?
Start with one learning aim. Choose the routine survey for simple questions, the outing task for negotiation, or the information-gap lesson for asking and confirming details. Check what learners can do at the end before increasing difficulty.
How can I contact the site?
See the contact page for the current status. No verified email address or active message form is available.
