I would check first how much the private insurance for injuries and accidents costs. Lots of road accidents on the way to Fethiye from Istanbul, and flying is very expensive within Turkey. Your total earnings from Leeds, 1,000 tl or roughly 600 bucks for two weeks at 20 tl an hour wouldn't be enough to pay for hospital/funeral bills. You might consider getting another job as a bartender, then you might make just enough to cover that.

I''m not drunk, I'm high on acid. Cool However, I'm not hallucinating, I'm simply telling it like it is. Another thing, sonny, is to find out if they're paying for the accommodation before going there, and make that absolutely clear, so you wouldn't be surprised when they deducted a quarter of your wages for that.

Is that you Cher?

You get 20TL an hour, and have to pay for your own accommodation.
As long as no one has a horror story about them, I may go for it.

It can't hurt to try, right? If it sucks you can bail and at least you'll be in Fethiye which doesn't suck. Other opportunities will present themselves.

I feel like I've heard something bad about Leeds Academy, but I can't remember what it is. It could just be that the name sets off warning bells. Not because of Leeds the place in England, but because Turkish schools with names like that are being deliberately misleading and are usually cowboy operations.

Leeds Akademi -you make own way to Istanbul, get 2 nights in a hotel for the briefing, then bussed to a school for 10 days, get meals & accomm and at the end (allegedly) get 1000TL.

What can possibly go wrong.......?

I knew you'd come crawling back eventually. This has been your longest absence yet. Laughing

Is that non-native syntax or simply a punctuation error?

It's always futile to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
