Does anyone know anything about CRB requirements in Spain?

I know that in the UK the authorities are very tight in ensuring that all teachers and other workers who are in regular contact with children are screened and certificated.
I have been teaching for 2 years now, and I've never been asked for any certification at all, but if such a process exists then I'd like to apply for it and add it to my CV.

Any thoughts?
