English Language Teaching Improvement Project (ELTIP) is a project under the Ministry of Education (MoE) which has been working to promote teaching learning of English in the secondary level education in Bangladesh. In the recent past the very purpose of learning English has been changed in the context of Bangladesh. Since the beginning of the 90s, in Bangladesh, there has been a growing demand for using English as a foreign language (EFL) rather than as a second language (ESL).
