Portugal: Bilingual Primary School for Algarve

Vale Verde International School has pioneered an educational project, becoming the first international school in the Algarve to offer bilingual education, where subjects are taught in both English and Portuguese.

Teachers from Spain study in U.S. to develop bilingual teaching methods

Forty teachers from Spain spent a month in the U.S. this summer, under the aegis of the government of Madrid, in cooperation with Middlebury College and the Monterey Institute of International Studies, to develop bilingual teaching methodologies to enhance their use and teaching of the English language in subject areas such as science and art.

Turre Opts for the Bilingual Route

The Turre Town Council voted last week in favor of taking the necessary steps to ensure that the town’s new school is fully equipped to be bilingual in Spanish and English.
